NBA Playoffs Second Round: Betting on Celtics vs. 76ers Game 2 | Parlay and Player Prop Research

Welcome to our parlay and player prop research for the matchup between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers on May 3, 2023. Take a look at the numbers we are including in every bet for today and play them either straight or in a parlay.

The lineup for today

If you are looking to play these picks in a parlay, we recommend the following adjustments for a +500 SGP:

After a surprise upset in the first game, the Celtics look to get back on the right track before the series shifts to Philadelphia. This came as an even greater upset with the Sixers missing newly announced MVP Joel Embiid to a knee sprain that still has him listed as doubtful for game 2. Philly was led by a classic James Harden performance, taking advantage of an excellent shooting night in which they handedly won the turnover battle, however Boston still played a strong game shooting well from the floor and winning the rebounding battle. In game two, expect Boston to even up the series, taking advantage of their dominance on the boards and to head to Philly one game apiece.

Boston -10 (-110) | Game Line

With no Embiid, it is increasingly difficult to see Philly repeating their performance from game 1. This is even clearer when looking at Philly’s rebounding, particularly without their talisman center. In home games this year that Boston has played against teams in the bottom quartile of rebounding such as Philly, they have covered this line 58% of the time.

Marcus Smart o11.5 Points (-110) | Player Prop

One of the strongest performers for Boston this playoffs, Smart has hit this line in all but two playoff games. In the postseason, he is averaging 16 points per game and should continue to hit this line with ease.

Robert Williams o7.5 Rebounds (-120) | Player Prop

Williams put in a high-efficiency shift in his 20 minutes in game 1, standing out as the better option to Al Horford. With adjustments inbound for Boston, expect Williams to get more game time. When he plays 20 minutes or more, he hits this line 63% of the time.

Tyrese Maxey o2.5 Assists  (-175) | Player Prop
Maxey stepped up his game in the absence of Embiid and will need to do much of the same to keep Philly in this game. After averaging 3.4 assists per game this year, this line looks promising, but even more so without the center. In games without Embiid, Maxey hits this line 75% of the time.
